but in Taiwan, the date is special with a unique meaning.
The Taiwanese celebrate the holiday on August 8th -
in Chinese, the number 8 is pronounced as "ba", similar to "ba" with a stronger tone that means "pa" or "dad/father". So they call Father's Day the "8 8 Holiday", pronounced as "ba-ba Holiday".
